Play Based Learning

At Paraparaumu School our Year 1-3 children engage in play-based learning alongside a structured literacy and numeracy programme. Play- based learning allows children to explore, experiment and discover and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways. It is child led and develops social skills, as well as motivation to learn. It also develops language and numeracy skills and a curiosity about the world.
